A two-display digital clock that a player can set without reading a manual. Ten presets cover the time controls played in Nigerian clubs, from five-minute blitz to ninety minutes for the first forty moves.
What you get
- Two large LCD displays, readable from across a table
- Ten presets including 5+3, 10+5, 15+10, 25+5 and 90+30
- Increment and delay modes, plus a move counter
- Large press buttons, low battery indicator, two-year battery life
Why a digital clock
Increment changes how endings are played: with three seconds added per move, a player can still win a won position on time. Analog clocks cannot do that, and every serious league now expects it.
Good to know
Runs on two AA batteries, included. Take the batteries out if you are storing it for a long period.
