A 20-inch folding wooden chessboard with an Adire-inspired inlay border — the board we play on at Afro Rook, built to fold shut and travel.
A full-size 20-inch wooden chessboard that folds in half and closes with a brass clasp. The squares are walnut and maple, and the border carries an Adire-inspired geometric inlay in indigo and terracotta — a nod to the cloth our name comes from.
57 mm squares take a 3.75-inch king comfortably, which is the size most Nigerian clubs play with. It lies flat and stays flat, so notation is easier and pieces do not wander mid-game.
Ships folded. Wipe with a dry cloth and keep it out of direct sun; do not soak the veneer. Pieces are sold separately, or order the Afro Rook starter set and get both.
